Sheet 01 / 05 Setup

Initial Project Setup & Schedules

Build the master schedule once, carefully — this becomes the baseline every daily diary entry and progress calculation is measured against.

  • 01
Go to the Project screen and create a new project file to start.
  • 02
Go to Gantt to set up your Activities. Important: keep activities small and manageable — break each one down into no more than 5 sub-tasks for accurate tracking.
  • 03
Add Milestones in Gantt by adding them as an Activity with zero duration and zero quantity.
  • 04
Link Activities with dependencies to build your master schedule automatically — successor activities will shift on their own as predecessors change.
Warning

Do not change baseline activity start dates once you've begun capturing daily diaries. Data already tied to those dates — including recorded delays — will be lost.

Gantt Chart & Critical Path

The Gantt Chart shows your live project timeline. Use the Critical Path overlay to see exactly which activities are driving your completion date.

  • 01
Rotate your phone to landscape and tap the Gantt icon in the menu for the full timeline view.
  • 02
Use the toggle switch — usually found at the top of the screen or in chart settings — to highlight the Critical Path in cyan.
  • 03
Activities on the critical path have zero slack. If any of them slip, the whole project slips with it — these are the activities to watch closest.

Tip: check the critical path view weekly, not just at project milestones — early slippage on a critical activity is far easier to recover from than late slippage.

Sheet 03 / 05 Field Record

Daily Diary & Weather

Capture daily site diaries to maintain a bulletproof, contract-ready record of every shift.

  • 01
Navigate to Diary and select the current date, or create a New Entry.
  • 02
Fetch Weather: tap the cloud icon or Fetch Weather button to automatically pull local conditions from Open‑Meteo.
  • 03
Progress: record quantities installed for each activity and the progress of its sub-tasks. Use the edit icon on any activity card to enter data.
  • 04
Resources: assign the specific plant, labour, and materials used for that day's work.
Sheet 04 / 05 Reporting

Creating PDF Reports

Professional A4 site diaries and reports, ready to hand to clients, head office, or an auditor.

  • 01
On the Diary screen, look for the Print or Export icon.
  • 02
The app generates a compact PDF report optimised specifically for A4 printing.
  • 03
Reports include weather, progress logs, resource usage, and any site instructions, RFIs, and delays recorded for the period.
Sheet 05 / 05 Data Safety

Data Backup & Recovery

Your site records live locally on your device first — back them up so a lost or replaced phone never means lost project history.

  • 01
Go to the Data screen (Data Management).
  • 02
Sign in with your Google Account.
  • 03
Tap Backup to upload your entire project database to your own Google Drive app sandbox.
  • 04
If you change phones, use Restore on the new device to pull your data back down.

Your backup is stored in your own Google Drive account, under your own Google sign-in — not on a third-party server.
